Protect Child Domestic Workers from Maltreatment

Protect Child Domestic Workers from Maltreatment (PCDW) Program Implemented by CAPRIGHTS-VP

Child domestic work is a significant issue in Nigeria, with 89% of child domestic workers reporting conditions that violate national laws, and 53% working seven days a week without a rest day. The Protect Child Domestic Workers (PCDW) from Maltreatment Program is a pilot intervention designed to address these challenges through strategic collaboration among state and non-state actors and enhancing multi-stakeholder accountability platforms in Lagos State.

CAPRIGHTS-VP is actively participating in the initiation phase of the Protect Child Domestic Workers from Maltreatment Program in partnership with Street Project Foundation and Devatop, supported by the United States Department of State and funded by the Freedom Fund. The program focuses on reducing child domestic work exploitation and improving the overall environment for child protection.
