CAPRIGHTS-VP hosted a data quarterly review meeting on cases of CDWs
On June 28, 2024, Caprights Vp hosted a data quarterly review meeting at Ibis Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, with support from The Freedom Fund and the
US Department of State. The meeting focused on cases of exploited child domestic workers (CDWs) and included partners such as Street Project Foundation and Devatop Centre for Africa Development , along with government agencies, NGOs, healthcare professionals, religious bodies, advocates, and survivors of child domestic work who bravely shared their experiences. Together, they reviewed reported cases and discussed strategies to address various forms of abuse CDWs face, including physical, emotional, sexual abuse, and neglect.

Key outcomes stressed peer support, strategic reporting, community involvement, and confidentiality for CDWs. Recommendations included forming a stakeholder group, using social media and radio for advocacy, using simple language in outreach, providing counseling via toll-free lines, and collaborating with authorities for case resolution and support.
