Our monthly VSLA meeting held on July 25, 2024, at CDC Hall, Ikotun, was a great success! We were honored to hear from representatives who covered the effects and signs of domestic violence and how to access help.

Special thanks to our guest speakers:

Mr. Olayoke S. Taofeek from the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) gave a comprehensive presentation on the effects and signs of domestic violence and how to access help.

Barrister Chioma Ohaekelem Beatrice from the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) discussed the legal frameworks surrounding domestic violence and how victims can seek assistance.

Mrs. Umeh Chinyere Juliana from the Family and Life Unit of St. Hilda Catholic Church, Obadore shared valuable counseling insights, focusing on emotional and psychological support for victims.

We had a strong turnout and active participation, reinforcing our commitment to financial solidarity and mutual support. Thank you all for your dedication.
