VSLA Workshop on Business Loans (15th March 2023)*

On the 15th of March 2023, the Reclaim Your Future project convened a powerful workshop under its Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) initiative, focusing on business loans. Led by Mr. Samuel, a digital marketer, and Mr. Edward Esene, a financial consultant, the workshop equipped participants with essential skills to expand their businesses. Mr. Samuel provided practical insights on using digital marketing to enhance business visibility, while Mr. Esene broke down complex financial literacy concepts, empowering participants to confidently navigate the world of business loans.

Among the attendees was Mrs. Louisa Nkem, whose story of resilience epitomizes the project’s mission. After her sewing business collapsed due to financial strain, she tapped into the VSLA program to rebuild her enterprise. Armed with new financial literacy skills, she restarted her sewing business and expanded it significantly. The workshop not only reinforced her business knowledge but also introduced her to loan options that could fuel future growth. “The VSLA helped me regain my confidence and rebuild my business from scratch,” Louisa remarked.
